Pentatonic Scales
Pentatonic scales are made up of 5 notes (Penta = 5). To make a major
pentatonic scale you use the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 6th notes of the
major scale.

This type of scale can have different variations. Every scale on
this page is a major pentatonic scale. You can also have minor and
natural ones. The major pentatonic scale is the most common and most
commonly used.
